Hi All,

below is a poll link (doodle link) about setting-up a teleconf; and the
rest of the email is providing info and background about why you might want
to do that.

*INFO*
As some may be aware - We quickly prepared a successful inaugural meeting
http://2018.webcivics.org/ | and now, we're now getting onto the job of
figuring out how to define a 'knowledge banking industry' in a 'human
centric web' way. This leads on from a significant volume of work that has
been undertaken internationally over an extended period, providing the
technical apparatus we require to make it happen, alongside some fairly
impressive know-how. Meaningful participating in this group, is as an
individual.
(preferably with an ISOC-AU/ Internet Australia membership, as noted
below).

This Special Interest Group ("SIG"); is about defining the interaction
between the Humanity and the information management systems operated via
internet. We are able to decentralise these systems so that people have
'information' or 'knowledge' 'bank accounts' - and the purpose of this SIG
- is to figure out how all that works, and to do the work we need to do in
the interests of our 'shared values' to ensure we're working on defining a
better future, as is otherwise intended.

I've provided some more notes below if you want to learn more and am also
working on this presentation that should help you understand the basics of
what we're working to consider, and better define in the common interests;-

You are receiving this email because invited to get involved...

As part of how this will be done, there will be weekly teleconferences
facilitated, so we're going to have to figure out a time that suits people
via the following poll: https://doodle.com/poll/idt7tyxwcpugkdha which is
planned to usually be scheduled for 1 hour, with a little more time allowed
on this occasion.

If you are not already on the mailing list - please join here:
http://lists.internet.org.au/mailman/listinfo/kbi-webcivics

If we have time to do so, each time we have a teleconf, new members will be
able to quickly introduce themselves and what they do. However the an
alternative method is that people can do this on the mailing list, which
you are invited to join.

- Meeting Agenda document is:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Dug4GPfEaLVN4Xo9r2RTI3vUHvgNq68jbNr18TWLCHI/edit?usp=sharing
- SIG TOR Document:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fEv-FfsAM8EAexIEYs8gDDkMtUHEzn8RxRBnCyHGVXU/edit

NOTE: both of these documents are draft, and the SIG TOR document is the
primary 'issue' that will be discussed in this first teleconf. If you are
not aware of how or what the internet society is about - please get in
touch and/or see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_governance |
https://www.internetsociety.org/about-internet-society/

The way the internet is defined - is by people such as you, getting
involved in helping make it, however it is we are able to contribute
towards a better future...

If you are not able to attend the teleconf; please feel welcome to
contribute in other ways; or let me know your thoughts so that they can be
included in some way during the teleconf.

ADMIN / ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:
We ask that all those who seek to have their voice count by way of an
individual vote (as a person, rather than as a agent for any organisation)
on topics raised, be a member of Internet Society which can be done quickly
and easily via the following link: http://internet.org.au/membership

For those interested in participating internationally - we are working on
establishing a global chapter, and these works will help forge the pathway
to do that both by supporting the means in which our international
participants can set-up local works in their regions; in addition to
ensuring we're all able to work together should the international 'topic
chapter' be established. I am aware that the IGF
https://www.intgovforum.org/multilingual/content/igf-2018-call-for-workshop-proposals
is
looking for workshop submissions that need to be in soon. If you might be
interested in participating in this, please let me know ASAP directly and
if you have any questions - please do not hesitate to get in touch.

In future - main correspondence will be via the list. So if you want to be
aware of what's going on - make sure you're on the list
http://lists.internet.org.au/mailman/listinfo/kbi-webcivics

Cheers.

PS:
As some may be aware - part of this work started earlier at Trust Factory
in 2017 http://2017.trustfactory.org/ | and whilst we were hoping for a
better recording, Dave Lorenzini saved the day - making sure:
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLCbmz0VSZ_vr9VW6CjOqyYVedHw_Ql2fa is
now available.

if you were interested and had time - my relatively comprehensive draft:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1n0VxRv1gGE3F60Awh-CsA4-EPJEVyEId0UIAdb3XOaI/edit
of some of the ideas i have about the future of our information systems.
This week tim Berners lee presented in

| & the SoLiD crew made some improvements to help those who are technical -
